Wallasea Island C807 Marine Transportation

Wallasea Island is one of the more remote sites TAG has worked, a reclaimed marshland landscape on the Essex coast where BAM Nuttall was delivering the C807 marine transportation project. The specific package was FEGP, Fixed Electrical Ground Power, and TAG's role was to provide the people who could deliver it.

That meant a full spread of trades rather than a single discipline: supervisors, concrete chargehands, shuttering carpenters, concrete finishers, groundworkers, slinger/signallers, traffic marshalls and general operatives, a complete labour force able to run every phase of the works without BAM Nuttall having to bring in trades piecemeal from elsewhere.

On a site as exposed and logistically isolated as Wallasea Island, having one supplier able to cover the full range of trades kept the programme simple for the client and kept the workforce consistent from one phase to the next.

The £69,000 labour package gave BAM Nuttall the people it needed, when it needed them, to keep the FEGP works on Wallasea Island moving.
