Hogarth Flyover
FM Conway contracted TAG to install all 86 precast bridge units on the Hogarth Flyover in Chiswick, along with the associated Hilti and Lindapter fixings, and to construct 16 in-situ pier heads to carry them.
The refurbishment turned around a tired, ageing structure on one of west London's key routes, and TAG's installation work was central to getting it done at pace, precast units lifted and fixed with the accuracy an elevated structure demands, on a live road with traffic running beneath.
The project finished ahead of schedule and was significant enough to be featured in New Civil Engineer magazine's September 2014 edition, under the headline 'Rapid refurb of tired Hogarth flyover complete ahead of schedule', recognition of a job delivered faster than the sector expected.
